• Final year students of Computer Science and Engineering visited Kodaikanal Solar Observatory | Indian Institute of Astrophysics & Astronomy Museum, Kodaikanal.

• This visit was mainly focused on to understand the technology involved to observe the solar system and how Artificial Intelligence & Machine Learning techniques can be useful to observe solar system.

• Prof. Dr. R. Ramesh, Kodaikanal Solar Observatory | Indian Institute of Astrophysics explained about the facilities and modern equipment’s available inside the observatory.

• He also explained how AI & ML is been used in the modern equipment’s and demonstrated the following equipment that powered with AI

OUTCOME OF THE VISIT:

• Gained knowledge about the process of solar Image Enhancement with Artificial Intelligence • Learnt the procedures of machine learning process training to identify the characteristics of high-quality observations.

• The technology and the equipment used for collection of solar images was made familiar

• AI & ML involved in collection, separation of solar images was explained.

• Discussion on the difficulties faced during space research and possible solutions to overcome these difficulties using computing technology was held.
