“Road Safety Traffic Awareness Programme” has been organized by St. Mother Theresa Engineering College for the welfare of the students. 

Divisional Transport officers Mr. Vinayagam and Mr. Dhanapaul were the resource persons and they clearly instructed the students about the traffic rules and safety measures to followed during driving.

The following points were covered 

  • Increasing number of vehicles on the roads
  • Parking of vehicles
  • Overloading vehicles
  • Wrong side driving & Wrong overtaking
  • Over speeding of vehicles
  • Violation of Traffic Rules
  • Mobile Phone usage while driving
  • Usage of Seatbelt & helmets while driving
  • Drink and Drive
  • Zebra crossing
  • Causes and consequences of road traffic crashes
  • Legislation related to traffic accidents
  • Understanding Traffic Control Devices (Traffic Signals, Road Signs and Road Marking)
  • Understanding of Road Traffic Violations

Students interacted with the resource persons and get clarified their doubts. This programme is highly eye opening and informative to the students & the faculty members.
